Nature has always been my guide. From the Blue Ridge mountains in Virginia where I currently live to the large lakes in upstate New York, each vast in different ways. 
Early years on the water, in the elements, were instrumental in the way I created from a young age to the present. Along with vast spaces the action of wind, water, snow, ice and heat, energy and forces, impacted my art. More recently a desire to describe subtle flow in the Universe and on earth has brought me to my current explorations. Painting focuses and translates what I feel. The challenge to use 2D tools to quantify the vast, changing Universe appeals to me. My desire to unify and expand works with the flow toward Oneness.
